The constitution of the European Forum for Restorative Justice was adopted on December 8, 2000 in Leuven (Belgium). It lays down the aims, objectives, activities and principles of functioning of the organisation, and governs the division of work between the different bodies of the organisation. Click here for the full text of the constitution.

The constitution of the Forum is accompanied by a memorandum. This text describes restorative justice and its development and explains the reasons why the Forum has become an official organisation. The memorandum is not part of the constitution and therefore has no legal status. Click here for the full text of the memorandum.

From time to time, there is a need to adopt internal regulations in order to govern the organisation. These internal regulations are being codified in a Code of Internal Regulations. Click here for an up-to-date version of the Code of Internal Regulations.

There is also an annex to the Code of Internal Regulations, dealing with the selection, nomination and election of candidates to the Board. Click here for the full text of the annex.
