“Justice denied anywhere diminishes justice everywhere.” Martin Luther King jr.
The restorative justice movement holds strongly that there is more to justice than what happens in the criminal and youth justice systems. Victims, offenders and the wider community deserve access to services that promote a broader understanding of justice, one that includes the opportunity for safe communication about the harm caused by crime and one that offers the potential for healing and re-integration. The values underlying restorative justice approach include respect, responsibility, reparation and relationships.
The EFRJ is dedicated to the promotion of restorative justice throughout Europe. Evidence from research and practice all point to restorative justice as a successful and a more comprehensive way of doing justice. If you would like improve justice please support the work of the EFRJ. All financial contributions are greatly appreciated and will be used to further our cause.
