Also Como (Italy) is ready to celebrate with us the international #RJWeek 2017, with a lecture followed by the film screening of ‘A Conversation’! More events on the calendar in the EFRJ website.
Since few years, the Centro Studi sulla Giustizia Riparativa e la Mediazione (CESGREM, centre for studies on RJ and mediation), directed by Prof. Grazia Mannozzi at the University of Insubria in Como, organises an Annual Lecture to celebrate the #RJWeek. Last year, the lecture was given by the former chair of the EFRJ, Michael Kilchling, on RJ as a right for victims. This year, the lecture will be given by Manlio Milani, victim of a terrorist attack in Brescia 1974 where his wife lost her life during a manifestation.
Since this experience, Milani started a series of activities to seek truth and justice and maintain the memory of this difficult Italian period alive. He is now the president of the Associazione familiari Caduti strage di Piazza Loggia (association for family members of victims who died in this terrorist attack) and founder of the Casa della Memoria in Brescia (house of memory).
Find below more information on this Annual Lecture (23 November, 11.00-12.30)
and on the film screening (ITA subtitles) starting at 12.30.
Also, find here the poster made by the students for explaning the contribution of RJ for victims of terrorist attacks, as in the case of the Brescia bombings.
This summer, the EFRJ was lucky to encounter and collaborate with the team of the CESGREM, the local partner in the organisation of the succesful Summer School on RJ & serious crime (24-28 July 2017). Given the importance of the theme of this School, the EFRJ decided to repeat the experience in Tirana with a few day intense training (given by Kristel Buntinx) anticipating the 10th international conference of the EFRJ (14-16 June 2018). Info on the training will be published by end November.
