EFRJ Board in New Zealand

Two EFRJ Board members will present at the conference ““Effective and Humane”: Restorative and Māori Justice Approaches to the Prison Crisis” (Wellington, New Zealand 23-25 October). Click here to view the programme.

Among the plenary speakers, you can find the chair of the EFRJ Board, Tim Chapman (Northern Ireland), who will talk about RJ in prisons during the morning session on 25 October.

The treasurer of the EFRJ Board, Bart Claes (Belgium), will present in two workshop sessions:

• “How restorative justice practices in prison can promote desistance from crime. Or does it?” (24 October at 2:25 pm)
• “Beyond the prison crisis. Twenty years of Belgian restorative prisons” (25 October at 2:30 pm)
