Our new organisational member, the Estonian Social Insurance Board, working on victim support and crime prevention, will celebrate the international RJ Week with 3 different local initiatives, in Tallin (21 and 23 November) and Narva (22 November).
Also during the international RJ Week in Estonia there will be 3 workshops for youngsters (living in closed institutions, e.g. prison) where they are doing stencil (street art) around the main theme of RJ and what it is for them.
For more info please contact Annegrete Johanson.
*For those ones not familiar yet with the film “A Conversation” (No Theatre, 2017): it is based on a theatre play where two families engage into a dialogue after the rape and murder of a young girl, launched by the EFRJ on the occasion of the international #rjweek 2017. EFRJ members volunteered to subtitle the film in 16 languages. The Estonian initiative is one of the many screenings that are taking place across the world since the launch during the RJ Week 2017. Only during that week the film was screened in 68 different venues in 26 countries and reached about 3000 people from different fields of expertise (e.g. mediators, lawyers, psychologists, criminologists, probation officers, prison staff, policemen, artists, researchers, policy officers, educators, youth workers, activists…).
