On the occasion of the international #rjweek 2017, the EFRJ launched the film A CONVERSATION (No Theatre 2017) based on a theatre play where two families engage into a dialogue after the rape and murder of a young girl.
During that week, the film, which has been subtitled in 15 languages by our members, was screened in 68 different venues in 26 countries and reached about 3000 people coming from different fields of expertise (e.g. mediators, lawyers, psychologists, criminologists, probation officers, prison staff, policemen, artists, researchers, policy officers, educators, youth workers, activists…).
A NEW SCREENING IS NOW ORGANISED in collaboration with our organisational member from the Chair of Social and Restorative Justice at Ramon Llull University (Spain) represented by Aida Covadonga Rodriguez Gimenez and Esther Giménez-Salinas.
The screening will take place in Mexico City on 1 June in the context of the 4th discussion forum coordinated by the National Commission on Human Rights in Mexico (CNDH Mexico). Since members Esther Giménez-Salinas has been awarded with the Nelson Mandela Chair for the rights of imprisoned people, she will be there presenting the film and leading the discussion after the screening.
