The Finnish Forum for Mediation and the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs are organising a seminar on the occasion of the international #RJWeek entitled ‘Finland 100 years jubilee events – Mediation in Finland‘ (Helsinki 20 November). The seminar aim at giving a picture of the progress of mediation activity in different levels of Finnish society. A specific theme is to observe how mediation is strengthening peace and safety in Finnish society.
Key speakers are the director of the Crisis Management Initiative Tuija Talvitie, member of the Parliament, peace mediator Pekka Haavisto, states conciliator general Minna Helle and bishop of Helsinki Teemu Laajasalo. In the panel, docent Henrik Elonheimo, professor Seppo Koskinen, PhD researcher Maija Gellin, professor Synnöve Karvinen-Niinikoski, manager Miriam Attias and chief judge Antti Heikinheimo are sharing their expertise of mediation in different levels of Finnish society.
