To mark and celebrate international RJ Week 2018, the Director of the Probation Service is hosting an afternoon seminar “Informing and Inspiring Restorative Justice Practice” (Dublin, 20 November).
The seminar will bring together staff from the probation service, partners from community based organisations and colleagues in the wider criminal justice field. EFRJ member Dr. Ian Marder, expert on RJ and lecturer in criminology at National University of Ireland Maynooth, will present on the recently published Recommendation CM/Rec(2018)8 by the Council of Europe. The seminar will provide an opportunity to discuss recent legislative and policy developments in relation to RJ as well as considering future practice developments. The event will conclude with a conversation stimulated by a panel consisting of academic, practice and policy perspectives.
