The EFRJ co-organises an international training programme on RJ, organised within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “KINTSUGI – Exchange of European Good Practices on Restorative Justice“, coordinated by WELCOME, Italy. The 90-hour training programme, divided over 3 weeks time spread in the next 1,5 year, will take place in Belfast (UK), Rome (Italy) and Namur (Belgium). The training will bring together 25 participants from these different countries, working in the field of RJ, probation, victim support and related areas.

The first training will be on 8-12 April in Belfast. Around the main theme “Restorative communities”, senior trainers and RJ facilitators Hugh Campbell and Tim Chapman (chair of the EFRJ Board) will present on theories, practices and actual experiences on the use of restorative approaches in cases of political violence, with a particular focus on the post-conflict Northern Irish society. The other two training will take place in September in Rome and in February 2020 in Namur. More details about the contents of these training will follow. Finally, at the end of the 2-year project, the EFRJ will co-organise the final conference in Leuven in September 2020.

EFRJ members (individual or organisational, based in Belgium) can apply for this opportunity until 28 January. If you are not a member yet you can apply now, but please note that we give priority to applicants who are members since 2018 or earlier.
