On Friday 22 March our organisational member Restorative Justice Nederland launches the Restorative Justice Academy in which RJN will work more closely together with other RJ experts such as mediators, lawyers and academics. At the launch event, RJN’s board members Theo de Roos and Rob van Pagee will present to an invited audience of about 50 professionals. The idea of the academy is to deliver training to different justice professionals.
The first training was delivered by our vice-chair Annemieke Wolthuis and EFRJ member Gert Jan Slump to 20 neighborhood mediators (Utrecht, 16 March). This initiative could be the start of a national tour as in 240 Dutch municipalities neighborhood mediation is present as a voluntary service.
