#RJWeek in Donostia, Basque Country

21/11/2019 @ 16:00 - 18:00

Also the University of the Basque Country (Spain), through its Restorative Justice Theory & Practice Lab, at the Basque Institute of Criminology, is celebrating the international RJ Week 2019!

On 21 November, the individual member of the EFRJ Gema Varona organizes a dialogue circle entitled “Grey zones and terrorism: overlapping victims and victimizers. Ethical and historical insights from restorative justice”.

Departing from the notion of “grey zone” by Primo Levi, a very sensitive issue will be approached by the Ethics professor of Deusto University, Galo Bilbao, and the historian, Gaizka Fernández Soldevilla, from the National Memorial Center for victims of terrorism. With concrete examples in the Basque Country, there will be time to explore how to construct justice out of injustice, victimisation and the need for accountability, as key elements restorative justice deals with. This dialogue circle aims to promote dialogue between academic experts and victimology students.
