Members of the ERJPN- European Restorative Justice Policy Network organises a special event to celebrate the international RJ Week in France!
The French Ministry of Justice invited the theatre group Proyecto 43-2 to perform “La mirada del otro” in Paris on 19 November. The event addresses judges, magistrates and policymakers to understand the potential of RJ in cases of terrorism, for listening to victims’ needs and better understanding the choices of people who engage in a journey of extreme violence.
For those ones who could not join us at the EFRJ Symposium in Bilbao, and thus could not see yet the theatre play, “La Mirada del Otro” focuses on the restorative encounters between ETA dissidents and the families of their victims, presenting elements for transforming the conflict and promoting a culture of peace. This play is part of a trilogy, product of 10 years research, artistic and pedagogical work conducted by the collective Project 43-2, founded by actress and playwright Maria San Miguel. It was performed more than 100 times in 70 different places, including Colombia, where a parallel was made to the peace process of the country.
The play is performed in Spanish, on this occasion with French subtitles.
