Our Board member Brunilda Pali will take part in the two-day initiative ‘Utopia or dystopia? The role of justice in a ‘pre-crime’ future‘, part of the project and forum ‘Science and Ethics’ organised by the KU Leuven Institute of Criminology, in collaboration with the students’ association Crimen and the local arts centre STUK.
Pali will introduce the film ‘12 Angry Men‘ (Sidney Lumet, 1957) with a short presentation entitled ‘Reasonable Doubts or Conviction’ (19 April at 19.30).
On the second day, the film ‘Minority Report‘ (Steven Spielberg, 2002) will be preceded by a public lecture entitled ‘From Minority Report to Reporting Minorities’ (for Dutch speakers) by Marc Schuilenburg from VU Amsterdam (20 April at 18.00).
Both initiatives will take place in the Auditorium Zeger Van Hee (KU Leuven Faculty of Law, Tiensestraat 41). Registration is not required, participation is free.
