European Restorative Justice Award

Call to submit proposals: Submit your personal proposal for the 2016 Award

In the year 2010, in celebration of its 10th anniversary, the European Forum for Restorative Justice (EFRJ) launched the “European Restorative Justice Award”. It is dedicated to recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions by individuals, groups or organizations, to the development of restorative justice within Europe. Worthy of dedication can be any significant contribution, either in theoretical, practical, empirical, political or ideational respect.

The award is granted every second year and handed over in a public ceremony during the regular international conferences of the EFRJ. Laureates are nominated by the Board of the EFRJ upon proposals submitted by the EFRJ membership. The award is unremunerated. Previous award holders are Ivo Aertsen, Belgium (2010), Martin Wright, United Kingdom (2012), and Christa Pelikan, Austria (2014).

You are invited to submit your personal proposal for the 2016 Award which will be handed over at the next international conference in Leiden, the Netherlands. Proposals can be submitted by individual members and by individuals representing an organizational member. One person can submit one or more proposals. It would be very helpful for the board if you could shortly explain your preference(s).

Please submit your proposal by e-mail to [email protected]. Senders must be clearly indentifiable.

Deadline for submission is Sunday, November 15th, 2015 (24:00 h).

The board will take its decision at its meeting in November, 2015.
