German magazine on RJ: #efrj2018 conference and more!

TOA Magazin__2.18_CoverOur German organisational member TOA (service for victim-offender mediation and conflict settlement) recently published its last newsletter, the TOA-Magazin.

Interested German-speaking readers can download the .pdf on this link.

The magazine (see pp. 38-39) includes the review of our pre-conference training on RJ & serious crime and the 10th international conference of the EFRJ (#efrj2018 in Tirana). It is nice to read that these events inspired our community and gave the feeling that our vision is not as far from reality anymore.

In addition, we find more articles linked to the EFRJ membership and projects:

  • On page 34 you will find the book review of “Critical restorative Justice” by Ivo Aertsen and our Board member Brunilda Pali;
  • On pages 36-37 you will find the article written by the researchers Ingrid Marit (Moderator) and Muriël Booms (KU leuven) on a EU-funded project we are partners in: “Victims of Road Traffic Offences“;
  • On pages 24-26 you will find an article referring to the Italian developments in the RJ field, which includes also information on the group of victims and ex-combatants of the armed groups of the 1970s-80s Italy, brought together by our members Claudia Mazzucato and Guido Bertagna, our trainers at the CJPE Summer Course.

And if you wish to meet the TOA team in person, please register to the 17th TOA-Forum (Berlin, 7-9 November): the event, mostly in German, will be attended also by our chair Tim Chapman and new colleague Laura Hein, as well as by our members Belinda Hopkins and Petra Sampers.
