Module IV (out of ten) of the Master in Mediation, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (Máster en Mediación, Negociación y Resolución de Conflictos). This module lasts four weeks and consists of 4 sessions of 4h each. Topics covered: models of Justice; victim-offender mediation; penal mediation and penitentiary policy; restorative circles; juvenile offenders; mediation in serious crimes and large-scale conflict.

- Restorative justice and victim-offender mediation (Justicia Restaurativa y Mediación Penal)
For students in the 3rd year of Criminology. The course is divided in ten themes (e.g. the origin of restorative justice, requirements, theories, programs, focus on criminal mediation as a wel-known practice in Spain). The subject is combined with complementary activities, such as viewings of videos about restorative processes, testimonies of victims, discussion forums and written practices. A real case study (taken from the practical experiences in castilla and Leon) is used to be dealt with in the examination process.
