EFRJ Conference 2016- Call for papers

The EFRJ invites practitioners, researchers, legal professionals, policy makers and activists to submit proposals for presenting during the parallel workshop sessions.

The programme is organized around six main themes. Please consider those first when submitting your abstracts. We welcome presentations looking at traditional RJ practices within the criminal justice system but also beyond and including other methods to encourage RJ interventions. Additional presentations on other themes of relevance for RJ based on innovative practices, recent research or currently finished projects and suggestions for further workshop themes (and formats) are also welcomed.

We encourage participants to choose one of the following types of presentations:

  • Paper presentation – 30 minutes, including 10 minutes discussion
  • Testimonies or personal experiences of RJ – 30 minutes, including 10 minutes discussion
  • Training session – 90 minutes
  • Panel discussion – 90 minutes
  • Dialogue session – 90 minutes
  • Movie/documentary and discussion – 90 minutes

Proposal must be accompanied by:

  • Title of the presentation/workshop
  • Type of presentation: paper, training, panel, dialogue, or movie/documentary
  • Abstract of the paper presentation/detailed description of the workshop (250 words)
  • Biography of the presenter(s) (50 words)
  • Keywords that describe your presentation/workshop

Abstracts must be submitted in a Word document by 26 April 2016 to Emanuela Biffi. Please mention ‘Leiden call for papers + Full Name’ in the subject line of your e-mail. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed. Applicants will be informed about the acceptance of their proposal by 30 April 2016. Please note that all presenters must be registered at the conference (see below) and all abstracts must be submitted in English, the official language of the conference.

There is room also for poster presentations to be shown in the main hall where registrations and coffee breaks take place. Please send your proposal to Emanuela Biffi to reserve your spot!
